Annual Giving Campaign

Annual Giving Campaign Morris Arboretum

It has been an exciting year at The Morris Arboretum!  We encourage you to come and enjoy all that the Annual Fund has made possible, including the restoration of color to many of the gardens.  Through your help, a variety of new education classes and special events were offered in every season of the year, from landscaping to yoga to the summer jazz concert series.

Your generosity also supported research, most recently funding the publication of the second edition of The Plants of Pennsylvania: An Illustrated Manual, a definitive research text written by Dr. Timothy Block, Director of Botany, and Dr. Ann Fowler Rhoads, Senior Botanist.  Conservation efforts throughout the community are based in this floristic information from the Arboretum.  The membership program has grown to include over 9,000 adults and 4,500 children.  It is wonderful to see people of all ages enjoying the many opportunities the Arboretum has to offer.

New projects are on the horizon including the widely-anticipated Tree Adventure Exhibit.  This unique and interactive installation will enable children and adults to understand the importance of stewardship of our trees – that we need trees in our communities and trees need our help to grow and survive.  Finally, the planning process for the new Horticulture Center at Bloomfield Farm is well underway.  This facility will house horticulture, facility and education staff, and a larger public venue for conferences, classes, summer camp, and other special events.

Many of our donors increased their annual gifts, strengthening the Arboretum’s foundation for the ongoing work and mission of this important center for horticultural display, education, research, and outreach.  Your philanthropic support through The Morris Arboretum’s Annual Giving Campaign continues to make this growth and planning possible.  We invite you to consider a gift to support the Arboretum’s Annual Giving program.
With deepest appreciation for your support!
