The Morris Arboretum will host an afternoon tea and book signing on December 2 at 2PM with authors, Block and Rhoads, and illustrator, Anisko. Reservations are required. Call 215-247-5777 x 109.
The second edition of The Plants of Pennsylvania, co-authored by Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania’s botanists, Ann Fowler Rhoads (Senior Scientist of the Pennsylvania Flora Project) and Timothy A. Block (Director of Botany) is the authoritative guide to identifying the nearly 3,400 species of flowering plants, ferns, and gymnosperms native or naturalized in the Commonwealth. It features a complete reorganization into a genetic scheme that reflects recent advances in our understanding of plant relationships. The botanical illustrations of Anna Anisko continue to complement the descriptions and add an element of beauty to the volume.
