Payment and Housing

As full-time staff members of the University of Pennsylvania,

interns work a 40-hour week at an hourly rate of approximately $9.18.

Interns must commit themselves for the full year term.

Arboretum staff assists the interns in finding housing by providing a list of nearby moderately priced possibilities. Occasionally there are opportunities for interns to live with hosts and exchange work around the home of their hosts for reduced rent.

To start your housing search, check out: www.craigslist.org, www.4wallsinPhilly.com, www.chestnuthilllocal.com
