Cut flowers may be a wonderful bounty from our gardens or even from the grocery store, but what do you do with them when you bring them indoors? This class will show you the many tricks of the trade to arrange flowers so that they will look their very best. You will learn techniques such as gridding and stuffing, and florist gel will be demonstrated. The elements of design will be covered in depth.
Cheryl Wilks has been a guest lecturer at the Philadelphia Flower Show since 1990, so she really knows her stuff! Please bring a box to take home your creation. All materials are provided by the instructor. Other sections are available in April and June

Learn how to fold, weave and manipulate palm to make traditional weavings for decorations or gift giving. You will have fun learning about the history of palm weaving and all the various designs. There will be
hand-out instructions to take home so you can remember how to do the patterns next year. The fresh palm will dry and you will be able to keep your designs to enjoy in your home.

creativity with you to bring out your hidden creative talents. She has been guest lecturer at the Philadelphia Flower Show since 1990 and

Create your own centerpiece in a basket to brighten your table and welcome spring. You will be able to choose from an assortment of
flowers including tulips, iris, daisies and more. An assortment of holiday and spring decorations will be available to embellish your creation. Cheryl will provide pointers on the care and handling of fresh spring flowers and demonstrate basic design techniques for successful flower arranging. All materials will be provided. Bring a box to take your
arrangement home. Register for either session A or session B.
