We ask that you be respectful of the garden, especially our trees, some of which are senior citizens and need to be treated gently.

Please do not climb on the trees or sculptures or wade in the fountains. Picnicking is restricted to the dining area behind the Visitor Center.

No cooking is allowed.

No bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, Frisbees or other game equipment.

No commercial photography or filming unless prior arrangements are made with staff.

Personal use photography with tripods is OK as long as you don't go into the flower beds or damage any plants.

No wedding photography unless you are renting the facility for your wedding reception.

No pets allowed.

No admittance outside of regular visiting hours 10-4 daily, (10-5 Saturday & Sunday, April-October), 10-8:30 pm on Thursdays only in June, July and August.

A Note on Terrain:

The Arboretum property includes some hilly terrain. There is an ADA-approved paved walking path with less than 5% grade and benches strategically situated throughout the garden, but walking the Arboretum could prove challenging to those not in good health. We have two wheelchairs to lend out on a first-come, first-served basis, but we recommend you bring whatever accommodations are needed for the infirm and small children. The majority of the garden is accessible from the paved pathways. We have wheelchair accessible restrooms in the Visitor Center. The seasonal dining facilities are also wheelchair accessible.

A golf cart tour for people with physical disabilities can be arranged.  This is available seasonally for up to five people and must be scheduled in advance.  Please call 215-247-5777 X157 for more information.

We thank you for helping to take care of our garden so it is there for everyone to enjoy.
