The Mixed Border is planted with many of the same types of plants that are found in the Rose Garden but in a completely different style. This informal double border contains many bright jewel-colored perennials, woody plants, and specimen roses that provide interest throughout the year. This vibrant and exciting garden draws people from the Rose Garden and leads them to the Fernery.
