The Morris Arboretum to increase membership dues starting October 1, 2007 .

It has been a few years since The Morris Arboretum has increased its membership dues. In that span of time, the membership program has grown from servicing approximately 4,600 households to more than 5,000 households, which translates into more than 13,000 members. Significant growth has allowed us to provide our members with additional events and exciting new benefits.

To keep pace with the evolving needs of our members and the rate of inflation since the last price change, The Morris Arboretum will increase membership dues starting October 1, 2007. You will see in comparison with other arts and culture organizations, our membership prices are comparable.

To maximize your current benefits, renew at the two-year rate before October 1, 2007 and secure your membership at the current rate until 2009!

Some highlights of the upcoming membership changes:

• New category - Dual Membership ($65) includes all general benefits for two adults.
• We have renamed the former Household level to FamilyMembership ($75)
• Created the Far-Away Friends Membership($40) category – for friends of The Morris Arboretum who may have moved away, but enjoy reading our newsletter, Seasons, the benefits of reciprocal admission privileges and stopping by for a visit when you’re in town.
• Individual members($55) now receive two complimentary one-time use guest passes.
• Holly members ($250) continue to enjoy the Bring A Friend benefit where they can invite one additional unnamed guest to join them on every visit.
• Oak members ($500) enjoy the benefit the Bring Friends benefit where up to two additional unnamed guests may accompany them on every visit, instead of just one.
• Laurel members ($1,000) enjoy the Bring Friends benefit - up to four additional unnamed guests every time they visit and they receive a Free Dual membership to give to a friend, family member or their favorite charity auction.
• Katsura members ($2,500) may schedule a guided golf cart tour for up to five individuals.
