FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PHILADELPHIA – Have you ever considered the pairing of wines with food, so that the flavor of both will be enhanced? Would you like to learn more about Gigondas? If so, then sign up for the Morris Arboretum’s Wine Tasting on Friday, October 19, from 6-8pm. Plentiful, savory hors d’oeuvres will be served to accompany the chosen tasting wines. George Coates, Pennsylvania Regional Manager, William J. Deutsch & Sons, Ltd. will lead the Arboretum’s wine tasting and discussion of wines from growing regions around the world. Emphasis will be placed on medium to full-bodied wines, from the Old World, (including France, Italy, Germany and Spain) and the New World (the United States, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand). Mr. Coates will instruct guests on how to taste wines and what to look for when we taste. He will also share secrets of wine tasting and discuss the 100 point system that is typically used for grading wine. Gigondas, a robust, well-balanced and aromatic wine that is becoming very popular with Americans, will be highlighted.
