Bold masses of native ornamental grasses and perennial flowers with long lasting color and interesting texture are key features of this meadow inspired design. Located centrally between two major attractions, the Garden Railway and the Rose Garden, the Meadow Garden is designed for all season appeal.

In early spring flushes of daffodils bloom followed by the bright blues and lavenders of baptisia and iris. As summer arrives native perennials begin to flower in an array of colors attracting numerous butterflies. With autumn approaching the grasses turn beautiful hues of orange, copper, gold, and burgundy. Finally as the fist snow blankets the ground, birds seek shelter in the thick growth of the grasses.

Filled with flowering native grasses, perennials, and woodie plants this garden attracts a multitude of birds, butterflies, beneficial insects, and visitors all year long.
