Public Weekend Tours
Currently we have three ways to enjoy the public tours offered on weekends. All of these tours are open to anyone visiting the Arboretum at no additional charge. Take advantage of our extremely knowledgeable guides to learn something new about horticulture and the Arboretum. All public tours depart promptly, and meet in front of the Widener Visitor Center/Gift Shop
Open Guided Tours
These tours are held year round on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. There is no set itinerary, each tour is custom designed depending on the interests of attendees. If you want to learn about our oldest trees, then that is what the guide will show you. If you are interested in sculpture then the guide will take you through our amazing collection of art and garden sculpture. If each attendee has different interest, the guides will incorporate them all. The Arboretum is in your hands.
Great Plants for Your Home Garden Tour
These tours are available in January, April, July, and October only. They are held on Sundays during these months at 1:00 p.m. Learn about great plants for your own garden and get some helpful hints along the way. This is a terrific way to share ideas with other gardeners of all levels of knowledge and experience.
Winter Wellness Walks
The Morris Arboretum has a perfect way to start your Saturdays! Join one of our experienced guides every Saturday, November through March, at 10:30 a.m. for a well-paced Wellness Walk around the garden. Walks are approximately 2 miles long on paved paths, and last about an hour. Come out and get some exercise while enjoying the beautiful Arboretum surroundings. This is great for all levels of ability and various ages. For those that want more, you are welcome to continue on your own afterwards. Interested participants should meet outside the visitor center wearing comfortable attire and appropriate shoes.
