Plant Reproduction - Seed Dispersal



Grades - 5th - 6th
Tour length - 1.5 hours
Curriculum components-PDE: 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 4.3, 4.7, 4.8


Reveals the fascinating methods that plants use to ensure their survival and how nature fits into the puzzle

 

Classroom Activities!

Students will:

  • Observe and record the different plants and animals that thrive in a wetland
  • Learn the functions that wetlands serve and why wetlands are so important to nature
  • Explain the environmental and economic consequences that arise with the loss of wetlands
  • Brainstorm ways that we can help to safeguard wetlands for the future


Seed dispersal in the Arboretum is best displayed from late summer into the fall
