Trees Where We Live


Grades
- 3rd - 5th
Tour length - 1 hour
Curriculum components - PDE: 3.2, 4.3, 4.8

Conveys how the trees that are right around us help provide for our health and how we, in return, can help trees to be as healthy as possible.

Classroom Activities!

Students will:
  • Learn why the habitat they live in is called an "urban forest"
  • Analyze and interpret the data gathered after taking nature's temperature
  • Predict extent of a tree's root system
  • Brainstorm and engage in activities to illustrate what trees do for us and what we can do for trees
