Horticultural variety, native to eastern North America. A weeping form of our native hemlock and state tree. This large specimen was planted as part of the original Japanese-inspired design for the Swan Pond. Its interesting habit make it an attraction throughout the year and visitors can look up into its umbrella-like crown.
