    • IBM / Lenovo Laptop Battery Recall
      • Lenovo is recalling certain batteries that were used with various models of its portable lines sold between February 2005 and September 2006. There is a possibility that these batteries can overheat, which could cause a fire risk.
      • Affected machines sold in the United States include:
        • IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T43, T43p, and T60
        • IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X60 and X60s
        • IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad R51e, R52, R60, and R60e
      • These include some, but not all, of the IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T43s and ThinkPad T60s sold in the 2005 and 2006 Back-To-School Sales. These batteries were also sold as replacement batteries for the listed models, along with ThinkPad T40s, T41s, T42s, and R50s.

      • Affected machines sold in the United States include:
        • Apple PowerBook G4 12-inch
        • PowerBook G4 15-inch
        • Apple iBook/G4 12-inch

    • Dell Laptop Battery Recall
      • Dell is recalling certain lithium-ion, rechargable batteries that were used with various models of its portable lines sold between April 2004 and July 2006. There is a possibility that these batteries can overheat, which could cause a fire risk.
      • NO Dell systems sold during the Back-To-School Sale 2006 are affected.

Technical Support

Computer Fixer On Campus
The Computer Fixer On Campus is currently certified for warranty repair on Apple, Dell, IBM-Lenovo, and HP, and will look at machines of any manufacturer which are no longer under warranty.
