Graduate Housing at Penn: On and Off Campus
Penn is part of a dynamic community in University City with housing options for graduate students both on and off campus. Graduate students from Penn typically choose to live either on campus in Sansom Place, in the University City/West Philadelphia area, Center City Philadelphia, or the surrounding Philadelphia region.
On campus, housing options include two high-rise apartment buildings at Sansom Place accommodating approximately 800 graduate and 300 undergraduate students. These are conveniently located within walking distance of all campus facilities. Options include one and two bedroom apartments and single rooms. To learn more and apply, visit the Department of Housing Services’ web site.
To explore off-campus housing options in Philadelphia, begin your search at the website of the Office of Off-Campus Services. OCS provides an apartment rental listings database, customized guides to housing for graduate students, links to a wealth of information for tenants and landlords, and assistance at all stages of the off-campus living experience.
Residential Staff Positions: A limited number of graduate staff positions provide living accommodations in a College House (www.collegehouses.upenn.edu) or Sansom Place. Those interested in such positions can learn more by following the links provided above.
