Publication Services is the creative services department within the University of Pennsylvania’s Business Services Division. We are a division of Purchasing Services.
We are the source for publishing at Penn, having provided communications solutions to the university for more than 20 years in the areas of graphic design, printing, photography, mail services, advertising, and more recently, web development. Publication Services is a full-service creative agency.

Through our vast network of the region’s most talented creative sources, Publication Services buys millions of dollars in advertising, print and other services annually. We are able to leverage the volume purchasing to negotiate lower prices for our customers. Additionally, our mandated directed buy paper program for our print suppliers generates rebates which come back to Penn to be used for University services. In fact, any revenue generated by Publication Services is reinvested in the institution through allocated costs. We competitively bid jobs in compliance with the University’s audit requirements.
