Penn Contingency Services for SEPTA strike

 

We have been monitoring the Penn and Drexel bus shuttle routes carefully and making changes as necessary to make the travel more efficient. We appreciate your patience while we work to determine how best to deliver this interim service to our passengers.

PENN AND DREXEL SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE*

Morning shuttle buses will pick up passengers** from two locations:

  • PATCO Terminal at 16th and Locust Street
  • Mercy Wellness Center at the 69th Street Terminal
Afternoon shuttle buses will pick up passengers** from one location:
  • Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter (LRSM), 3231 Walnut Street.
These services are free and available to all faculty, staff and students of both institutions. Riders must present a valid ID card. See schedules below or to speak with someone directly, please call 215-898-RIDE (7433).

*These services are available Monday through Friday.
**Penn Buses will allow children to ride with staff; Drexel buses will not allow children.

 

SCHEDULES
The following schedules will be followed as closely as possible, however, please note that there will be increased traffic due to the strike which may cause delays. LRSM (Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter), 3231 Walnut Street, will serve as the outbound terminal for all Penn and Drexel University buses. Penn faculty, staff, students and those with complimentary passes may take either a Penn or a Drexel bus.

Inbound (All Express)
"P" indicates University of Pennsylvania vehicles.
"D" indicates Drexel University vehicles.

Inbound from 16th and Locust Streets (Southeast Corner) - All Express - one pick up coming straight to campus with drop off at 33rd & Walnut Sts. only.)

Inbound from 69th Street Terminal (Penn vehicles will pick up passengers** along Chestnut Street at 63rd, 60th, 57th, 52nd, 46th and 39th Streets if space is available. Drexel vehicles are all express. Drop off at 34th & Chestnut Sts. only.)

Outbound from LRSM (Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter) - 3231 Walnut Street To 16th and Locust (Express only)

To 69th Street Terminal
