Out of the Box Wines - A Marco Avigo Tasting Reception

Members of the University Club and their guests are invited to attend a wine tasting reception by Marco Avigo at the Inn at Penn on March 27, 2013 from 5:30pm-7pm.

Marco Avigo has been all around the world, both geographically and professionally.  He brings over 25 years of experience to his position as General Manager of Penne Restaurant & Wine Bar.  He was the youngest Master Sommelier to graduate from the Culinary Institute Caterina dei Medici in Italy.

$22.00 per person (plus tax and gratuity)

The reception includes displays of artisan cheeses and assortments of lite fare.

Attendees receive a 20% discount at Penne immediately following the reception.

The reception begins at 5:30 on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in The Living Room at The Inn At Penn. Reservations are required by Friday, March 22, 2013 to universityclub@pobox.upenn.edu. 

Take Your Professor to Lunch Program

The University Club at Penn participates in the Take Your Professor to Lunch program. This program allows an undergraduate student to invite his/her current professor to lunch at the Club without cost to either. One time per term. All participants must have a valid Penn Card and must show that card upon arrival at the Club.

Due to the Club’s limited space and our need to accommodate our regular membership, the Club must limit the size of the groups as well as the number of groups to be accommodated on any given day.

A lunch group can be no larger than a total of four people (one professor with a maximum of three students).

Advance requests are required. Requests must be made in advance, a minimum of three business days, by registration and must include the name of the professor, the name(s) of all students, and the requested date and time. A request will be confirmed by the Club before it is considered definite.
