Thank you for your interest in purchasing software subscriptions from the Office of Software Licensing. We are currently editing our website to reflect the updated FY10 full-year subscription prices. If you want to purchase new licenses, please use the Order Form link on the left for a full-year subscription.

If you want to renew an existing license that you purchased in FY09, please wait until after July 20th. We are sending renewal notices to the departmental Business Administrators who approved the initial purchase.

The Office of Software Licensing negotiates and administers software site licenses and volume discounts programs at Penn, and distributes licenses and media for those programs. Departments, faculty, and staff (and in some cases, students) can purchase this software at significant savings.

While terms vary from vendor to vendor, most licenses must be used for University-related educational or research purposes and on University-owned computers-and a license is needed for each computer running the software. Other specific regulations appear in the product descriptions on this site.

Most licenses purchased through the OSL program require departments to be responsible for the annual renewal fee to maintain the University's volume discount structure and eligibility for software updates and support.

To obtain software licenses and CDs, follow this two-step process:

• Fill in the order form (print a copy for signature) and submit it to us online.
• Fax a copy of the printed form, signed by your BA, to 3-4021.
