Each year, the Penn community applauds the efforts of individuals and teams that have transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Models of Excellence Award – Individual: Teri Scott, Director of Marketing at the Morris Arboretum and Gardens.  Teri expertly led a major rebranding campaign, championed new visitor-focused initiatives, advocated attention to developing new and diverse markets, and increased media awareness of the organization and its activities.

Models of Excellence Award – Team: Penn Dining’s Penn Cooks team created Penn Cooks - Culture, Community, and Cuisine to celebrate the diversity of the students and to provide them with opportunities to explore and appreciate their own and others’ identities and experiences through food. This program features chefs and cuisines from various backgrounds, partners with campus groups and cultural centers to select the food and the chef, and invites students to join a special meal and a friendly discussion about the chef’s culture and history. The award-winning Penn Cooks Team honorees include Kristin Cummings, Pamela Lampitt, Barbara Lea-Kruger, Tom MacDonald, and Ted Morrin.
