Penn Branded Merchandise & Licensing
Penn's logos and wordmarks are the visual representation of a global academic reputation that has commanded respect for nearly 300 years. As such, they are among the University's most carefully protected assets.
All promotional products bearing those marks must therefore:
1. Comply with the University’s Brand Guidelines.
2. Be purchased from a licensed promotional vendor.
3. Gain approval through Penn’s Trademark Licensing program.
Schools, Centers, and Departments ordering branded merchandise for their constituencies can do so correctly, with confidence, and in a timely manner by following the dos, don'ts, and FAQs in the Toolkit linked at the top of the toolbar at right. For a deeper dive into the program or to ask questions specific to your artwork, join a Penn Branding Drop-In session.
The Trademark Licensing program is administered by the Division of Business Services. It has final approval of all Penn-branded designs. Please note that approval from your internal team does not supersede final approval from Penn Licensing.
