Celebrating the Penn Ice Rink Re-Opening

The Penn Ice Rink has undergone an $8.2 million refurbishment project, which was funded by the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, Philadelphia Flyers Alumni, the NHL and the University of Pennsylvania. Numerous upgrades and renovations will enhance the overall experience, extend rink hours for year-round operation, and provide long-term operational sustainability, as well as expand the delivery of Snider Hockey’s nationally-acclaimed youth enrichment services to a wider audience.

A Warm Welcome to all our New Students

On Aug. 21 and 22nd we welcomed the class of 2023 to campus. Students were greeted by our Move-In staff and volunteers, music from Penn groups, specialty popcorn and plenty of water. Even the Quaker and the Philly Phanatic joined in the festivities.

The University has spent the past three years working with the Healthier Campus Initiative of the Partnership for a Healthier America, implementing 23 new policies that improve nutrition, physical activity, sustainability, and overall wellness. Penn Dining was an important partner in this effort!
